Debts get their own account, so you always know where things stand.
Set it up: on the Wallet tab, add an account of kind Debt:
- Borrowed: you owe someone (e.g. Sam lent you ₱2,000).
- Lent: someone owes you (e.g. you lent Sam ₱2,000).
Name it after the person, enter how much is owed now, and save.
Log what happens next: tap +, choose the Debt tab and pick the debt account. Depending on the kind of debt you can:
- Borrow more or Repay some (for money you borrowed), or
- Lend more or Collect some back (for money you lent).
Choose which of your accounts the money came from or went to.
Generate record: turn this on if the money should also count as spending or income on Home and in Reports. Leave it off to just move balances.
Different currencies: a debt can hold several currencies, e.g. SGD from a trip plus PHP. The debt's page shows each currency separately.
Clearing it all: open the debt and tap Pay off everything (or Collect everything). You can also Pay it all in a different currency and NEXO shows the working: each line, today's rate and the total. When it reaches zero, NEXO tells you you're All square.
