NEXO

Track. Share. Square up.

It's already built.
It just needs to launch.

A finished expense tracker, built in the Philippines. NEXO works on its own from day one, and opens up to a partner or a group the moment you're ready.

Pledges are open — GCash, bank transfer, PayPal or USDT.

Part 1

Why NEXO exists.

What the expense apps you're already using keep getting wrong.

Why now

The deal keeps changing underneath you.

Free tiers keep shrinking.

Apps that were genuinely free a few years ago now meter how much you can log before asking for a subscription.

Owners change, and so do the terms.

Your history stops being yours the day an app is sold — and the features you relied on can quietly go with it.

If it's free, the money comes from somewhere.

Ads, offers, referrals, or your spending data. We'd rather charge a fair price and tell you exactly what it is.

NEXO: no ads, no data selling, no locked-in history.

Part 2

Demo

Free roam — tap + to add a record, and use the tab bar to move around the app.

This is a demo, not the app. It runs a slice of NEXO — adding a record, splitting it, and reading the reports — rebuilt to work in a browser with sample data. The shipped app has more in it, and details will keep changing up to launch.

Real screens, fake data · nothing is sent anywhere · explore for as long as you like

Status

This isn't an idea. It's a finished app.

The app

  • All 16 screens — designed, approved, and built.
  • Realtime sync — one person logs it, both people see it.

What it runs on

  • Production backend — live, with row-level security on every table.
  • Automated tests — a QA framework with a test suite behind it.

Not a slide deck: every claim here is running in the demo above — open it and check any of them yourself.

Part 3

What it costs, and what backing saves.

The planned Premium price, the four backer tiers, and how to pledge.

Pricing

Premium, priced for where you live.

Planned pricing, as of mid-2026, may be adjusted at launch.

Philippines ₱149/mo or ₱1,199/yr
Malaysia RM13/mo or RM99/yr
International $6.99/mo or $44.99/yr

One subscription covers the shared space.

If you go Premium, the space you share is Premium for everyone in it — your partner doesn't pay a second time to use it with you. Each person's own private space follows their own plan.

How the prices and the currencies work

Every tier is priced in all three currencies up front — in the Philippines, RM in Malaysia, $ everywhere else. Each is a fixed campaign price, not a live exchange rate, so the amount you see is the amount you send.

Founding Member is never sold publicly. It's about the price of a single year of Premium, except it never expires. Premium itself doesn't exist yet — every Premium reward here activates when Premium launches, targeted for Q1 2027, and credits appear at public launch, targeted Q4 2026.

Campaign terms

This is reward-based support, not an investment. Backers receive the rewards described — not equity, shares, or financial returns.

Read the full campaign terms
  • Refunds. Full refund on request any time before the app's public launch, targeted for Q4 2026 — email support@nexoexpenses.com with your reference code and we'll return it in full, no questions asked. Once the app has shipped and your rewards have activated, pledges are final.
  • If the goal isn't met. This is flexible funding. Whatever is raised is applied in the published order above — store fees and infrastructure first — and you'll get a straight update on any impact to the timeline.
  • Delivery. Every reward is digital and activates inside the app: credits at public launch (Q4 2026), Premium rewards at Premium launch (Q1 2027). No shipping, no manufacturing, no fulfilment risk. Dates are targets, not guarantees.
  • Who you're paying. NEXO is operated by Khaw Jyh Boon as an individual, based in the Philippines. Questions before you pledge: support@nexoexpenses.com.

Part 4

The plan.

The funding goal, the budget behind it, and what happens after the campaign closes.

Roadmap

Where your money goes.

Funding goal US$2,500 ≈ ₱155,000

A deliberately honest number. Development is already paid for with my own time and money — this covers only what stands between a finished app and a healthy public launch.

See where every dollar goes — the full budget
  • Apple Developer Program (1 yr)$99
  • AI development tooling (6 mo)$600
  • Backend infrastructure (6 mo)$150
  • Build & release pipeline$100
  • Store & brand assets$250
  • Launch marketing$500
  • Services & operations$100
  • Platform & payment fees (~8%)$200
  • Contingency (~20%)$500

Stretch goals: US$4,000 extends infrastructure and tooling to 12 months and adds a paid-marketing budget for the Philippine launch. US$6,000 accelerates Phase 4 — full Malaysia launch with multi-currency, localization, and part-time design/QA help.

  1. Complete

    Phase 0 — Build 2025 – Jul 2026

Concept, design system, all 16 screens, live backend, website, split-math engine.

  2. In progress

    Phase 1 — Launch readiness Q3 2026

Server-side recurring engine, multi-currency, full QA audit, Apple Developer enrollment, closed testing (12+ testers for 14 days, per Google Play policy), store listings and screenshots. This is where the campaign runs.

  3. Campaign funded

    Phase 2 — Public launch Q4 2026

Release on Google Play and the App Store, Philippines-first. The app is free for all users at launch.

  4. Campaign funded

    Phase 3 — Sustainability Q1 2027

Premium introduced at the planned price. All campaign backers receive their Premium rewards here.

  5. Stretch goal

    Phase 4 — Expansion 2027

Malaysia launch with full multi-currency, localization, and growth features driven by user feedback.

A public progress tracker will be maintained here so backers can see milestone status at any time. Dates are targets, not guarantees — if anything moves, backers hear it first.

Part 5

Who's behind it.

A note from the founder, straight answers to the usual questions, and how to get in early as a tester.

Who's building this

A note from Cross

NEXO started as a personal problem. I kept the expense records for both me and my wife, and keeping two people's spending in sync was a constant headache. Don't get me wrong — I love my wife. The headache came from the apps: one had no proper way to settle up, another couldn't split unevenly, another barely had categories. And whenever we travelled or shared costs with friends, we had to switch to yet another app just for that trip. Tracking one life shouldn't take three apps.

So I decided to build something both of us could actually use — one app for personal expenses, shared expenses, and squaring up, without the spreadsheet fights.

I've built NEXO alone: every screen, the backend, the split-math engine, the security model. That means there's no team to hide behind — but it also means you know exactly who is accountable to you. The app is already real and working; this campaign funds the last mile to the app stores, not a promise on a slide.

If you've ever argued about who paid last time, NEXO was built for you.

Questions

Straight answers.

Is this an investment?

No. This is reward-based support, not an investment. Backers receive the rewards described — not equity, shares, or financial returns.

When will I pay?

Now — pledges are open. Pick a tier and you'll get the payment details for wherever you are — GCash and bank transfer in the Philippines, Touch 'n Go and DuitNow in Malaysia, PayPal or USDT anywhere else — along with a reference code that ties the payment to you. Send it whenever suits you; once it lands we'll confirm by email and your reward is locked to that address. No card details are ever entered on this site.

What if the funding goals aren't met?

Funds are applied in the published order — Phase 2 first, then Phase 3, then stretch goals. If we raise less than hoped, we complete what the money covers and publish exactly where it went. You'll get transparent updates either way, including the uncomfortable ones.

When do rewards activate?

The app itself launches free for everyone in Q4 2026 — no Premium, no paywall, including a Founder's Beta where every future Premium feature is switched on for all users. Premium arrives in Q1 2027, and that's when backer rewards activate: lifetime access, the discounted year, and Founding badges all switch on for your account. Your name in the credits appears with the public release.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. Full refund on request any time before the app's public launch, targeted for Q4 2026 — email support@nexoexpenses.com with your reference code and you'll get it back in full, no questions asked. After the app has shipped and your rewards are live on your account, pledges are final: at that point you've received the digital product you paid for.

Is my data safe?

Every table in the database is protected by row-level security, so your records are only ever readable by you and the people you've explicitly shared a space with. You can export everything you've entered, free, whenever you want. We don't sell data — that's the entire reason there's a subscription.

Be one of NEXO's first testers.

Google Play won't let a new app go public until it's been through a closed test: 12 or more testers, running it for 14 continuous days. That's the single thing standing between a finished app and the store. Put your email down and we'll send you an invite when the test opens.

It's the Android testers who unblock the Play requirement — iPhone testers are welcome, but TestFlight has no 12-person rule, so they don't count toward it.

Just your email and which phone you have. No spam, nothing shared, and one email from us when the test opens. Privacy Policy
